Wendy owns and manages Access At Home Physiotherapy, one of the region's largest providers of private in-home physiotherapy services. She and her skilled team of registered physiotherapists, treat clients with mobility or musculoskeletal disorders in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, easing pressure for expensive beds in hospitals and rehab centers.
A graduate of Dalhousie University and a registered physiotherapist for over 30 years, she has combined an interest in travel with diversified professional experience: private and public hospitals, various rehabilitation centers, physiotherapy clinics, state-of-the art hydrotherapy pools and the home care sector. Wendy has practiced in several areas of Australia, Scotland and in six Canadian provinces. She is committed to continuing education and participates in professional congresses to explore global advances in treatment strategies. Despite extensive experience in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, burns and respiratory specialties, her expertise permits her to embrace a holistic approach with a genuine passion for the entire spectrum of physiotherapy practice.
A particular focus of Access At Home Physiotherapy is the rapidly growing senior population for whom Wendy and associates use their vast range of experience and expertise to assist individuals to maximize their independence and assist them to remain safely at home. Physiotherapy management of chronic conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, Stroke and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) can significantly reduce hospital admissions and visits to doctors. People recovering from car accidents or injuries of any kind, are able to participate in rehabilitation programs at home and leave the hospital system earlier.
